Obviously not deceased. Please return in a day or two and perhaps I might say something actually important. I hate abandoning all of this. I do it far too often.

News update: Florida! It sure is fun. Let's see what I've encountered since my trip began a few days ago...
  • The plane rides were pretty dismal. My brother ended up buying satellite service for six bucks only to have it get knocked out over the gulf.
  • Florida is really hot and humid. If I had known that before I left...
  • Epcot is pretty awesome, if not for the giant sphere, then for the sheer fact that it's one of the few places outside of Canada with a Canadian restaurant. Too bad I didn't go to eat there.
  • The Magic Kingdom over here looks almost exactly the same as the one back in California. Except everything is bigger, the lines are probably a third of those lengths, and it's way hotter.
  • Unfortunately, I did not get to go to the Animal Kingdom or the Hollywood Studios. I'll miss watching Indiana Jones do crazy stunts! Oh well...
  • Went to Daytona Beach, which is really sandy. And we passed by the race track. It's kind of big. Then we ran into a pretty terrible thunderstorm. Remember the blackout at school? Yeah, it was like that, but 10 times as bad.
  • I've found more radio stations that play classic rock, alternative rock, and country. Whether this is good or bad depends on your taste in music, I guess. Maybe I just got lucky. I still ended up hearing Tik Tok and California Gurls. Interpret this any way you wish.
  • In Downtown Disney, the glorified dining and shopping area, there was a guy playing a double-necked guitar AND a didgeridoo. It was amazing. Probably the most enjoyable thing there.
  • I can see the fireworks from my hotel room. I guess that's not too interesting.
I still have yet to visit Universal Orlando and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as the new theme park is deemed. Catching that tomorrow. My return to the land of cooler breezes is on Tuesday. Maybe I'll write more then. The Internet service here is slow. And expensive.

Because days come and go, but my feelings for you are forever...

I'm not dead.

And neither is this blog!

That is all.

(Yes, this post is hypocritical and worthless... but it's 10:00 PM and I don't feel like writing much today. I have much to say, however! Keep in touch.)

Addendum, 8/3/10: You know, I didn't plan this out very well. I was going to write something about how video games and my physics class were taking up more time than I would have liked, and that it made me really lazy when it came to writing. Also, I was going to point out that there's this great webcomic called Goblins, a satirical outlook on the lives of the ordinary goblins of a role-playing game. However, I leave to go to Florida in less than 12 hours. So take all that I've written, pretend that it's actually longer, and wait for a real entry sometime in the following week or after, depending on if I can get an internet connection.

Yay, Disney World.

Standing in line to see the show tonight and there's a light on, heavy glow. By the way, I tried to say I'd be there, waiting for...

a hard day's night.

Well, I said I would post something, so... here I am. Life for me has not changed very much since yesterday. But when you're having fun shooting up outlaws in Red Dead Redemption or mercilessly slaughtering cute teddy bears in Naughty Bear, it's easy to lose track of the time. Even the days! Of course, this doesn't mean I have violent tendencies or anything. Naughty Bear is just too fun, no matter what the critics say.

On an unrelated note, almost everything I've done in the last week has been on my netbook. Its portability knows no bounds! It's like a fresh start in my path of computer geekery. Besides obsessively playing video games and painstakingly studying physics lessons, I've set some goals for myself: begin learning the basics of programming, and write my city story. (I'm still deciding between science fiction and fantasy... yeah, it hasn't gotten very far.) Of course, I also planned to keep this blog up, and who am I kidding? I'm terrible at meeting my goals on time. On the bright side, I feel invigorated with goals in mind! The death slump can come later.

Anyone still interested in my vast webcomic collection? If so, check out Intelligence Silliness, a comic based on the hilarious mishaps of the Team Fortress 2 crew! Of course, it got abandoned last year, but read it anyway! For another amazing Valve-game based comic, look at Concerned, based on Half-Life 2, starring the brain-dead citizen, Gordon Frohman! This is probably one of my favorites, but it makes a lot more sense if you've played Half-Life 2... which does kind of kill the accessibility of it all. Long live Valve, creator of great PC games.

Back to hogtying random Western-y strangers for me. Remember, life can't kill you, unless you do it yourself. No, I don't know what that means.

Saw you there, standing. All alone, pretending. Looking up... like you had it all figured out.

forever seems like a long time.

Just for the record, there are two reasons why I continue to post posts saying I will post a post. The first is, even though this is on LiveJournal, I still want it to be something I actually commit to once or twice a week. I don't want it to turn into some site where I'll forget and abandon after a few weeks... like I pretty much always do. Secondly, it's really a reminder to myself. It is unfortunate that everyone else notices these nowadays, but what can you do. I appreciate all concerns, and any complaints may be filed over at the fake help desk around the corner.

Anyway, uh... I really have to plan things out now. I'll post tomorrow. Looks like I'm a hypocrite, but I still have class tomorrow and I just got a new netbook (score!) so I am totally engaged in work right now.

EDIT: Okay, as it turns out, plans did not go as planned. Anyone WHO reads this understands, especially since I give you the same reasons all the time. But I had a family thing on Thursday and today. I just kind of forgot on Friday. (Insert dubious expressive face here.) I'm considering making this a weekly thing at this point. Tomorrow for sure! Really! Believe me!

Typing on a netbook is annoying.

I'm losing track of all the days... lost inside a lifeboat, drifting out with all the waves.
Some will find their way by looking towards the sky, and some will leave their fate up to these ocean tides.

I will not be posting anything today. Or yesterday. I guess it is a little late for that now... But anyway, since I'm on LiveJournal now, I don't really have a schedule. So I guess I'll just talk about whatever. Like cars! A car can be cool beans. I don't really want to talk about that though. I was just saying that.

Have YOU seen The Karate Kid? I know I have! Especially since I watched it only a few hours ago. Jackie Chan may be getting on in years, but he is still a kung fu fiend. Jaden Smith also played his role very well. Obviously being the son of two actors pays off in a lot of ways. I thought the movie was great, with enough homages to the original for fans of the 1984 movie. The only complaint I had was that I greatly prefer the soundtrack of the original. After all, nothing can best Joe Esposito!

In gaming news, I've been playing Crackdown. Lots and lots of it. This is coupled in with Red Dead Redemption on the side. One of my favorite game genres is free roam after all, so I've been having bundles of fun wrapped in gameplay. Perhaps too much fun. If you want to friend me on Live, just add Mirrorfire.

Expect some webcomic news up later in the week. I have to study for my physics class, and am not devoting all too much time to this.  I probably won't be posting everyday, but I might talk more often. With less articles. But more content! And that's really what all true warriors should strive for. That and peace.

History repeats itself... try and you succeed. Never doubt that you're the one, and you can have your dreams!

Yeah, I'm still here folks. Welcome to the Scrying Pool, where a lonely seer reviews life, the universe, and everything while making bad jokes and pulling off far too many obscure references. Luckily for you, he never changes! Like war. Anyway, for those of you who have come from the Hall of Mirrors, this is my new secret lair. Maybe it's less secret and more obscure. For anyone who hasn't heard of my blog, well here's the new one. The old one can be found over in that old place. It's not all too hard to find. I think I'm just babbling now.

If you were expecting an article today, I don't have any! See, I purposely avoided saying I would write something because I would probably not do it. I'm not. But here's what you can expect from me over the weekend and beyond (next week)!

  • Game previews and reviews on the latest news from E3, as well as reviews such as Red Dead Redemption and the demo of Crackdown 2!
  • Movie and TV reviews for new and old, such as The Karate Kid (2010), Toy Story 3, and the new season of Futurama!
  • Music opinions.... namely my own! I'll be covering less of random songs or genres and focus more on albums.
  • My own general life. This may bore you, but I can complain about whatever I want.
  • A more organized webcomic system, with your favorite (or not) dinosaurs returning to the weekly schedule!
Catch all this and somewhat more in the next week, and more hopefully, the next few months! Whether this extends to years... we'll see.

Woah... you're a loaded gun... woah... there's nowhere to run!
